Psychoanalysis
Content to come…
Perhaps you’ve seen psychoanalysis portrayed in films or on TV. It can certainly look cold and unappealing, in that context, but a lot has changed in the one hundred years since Freud started. I practice a more contemporary approach known as interpersonal/relational psychoanalysis, which places much more emphasis on interaction and collaboration, while still holding to the key principles that Freud discovered.
While psychoanalysis involves coming to therapy two, three or more times a week, results can come quickly and powerfully. If you might be interested in trying what is often referred to as the “gold standard” of psychotherapy, or even if you are simply curious about it, please contact me.
